I read powder titanium dioxide may be carcinogenic when inhaled. Therefore to avoid powders with this ingredient. This caused me to panic over having used this product for 20 years. Can you reassure me this product is safe?

Most powders are harmful to inhale. 
Only you would know if you inhaled much. 
I use a dry Beauty Blender sponge or a flat brush
to gently tap powder onto my skin. You don’t want to create a dust cloud is all. Close your mouth when applying powders too. You can still inhale through your nose, so do just be careful. I don’t recommend a poofy brush that throws the powder in the air. You’ll know if the brush is too poofy if the powder is also finely scattered on your clothes and such.
