"Brow shaping is the quickest, fastest procedure with the biggest results," says Anastasia Soare, celebrity brow guru and founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills. "A well-groomed eyebrow can perk you up, make you look younger, and can make your complexion look brighter." But way before tweezers were even a twinkle in her eye, Soare was on the path to a beauty-filled career.
Growing up in Constanta, Romania, Soare was greatly influenced by her stylish mother, who owned a tailor shop. Soare's interest in drawing and design was apparent from a young age and led her to attend the Romania College of Architecture where her skills would ultimately lead her into a career in beauty.
After architecture school, Soare began studying cosmetology and started working as a beautician. It was at this point, fueled by a desire for a better life, that Soare's husband defected to the United States, and set the stage two years later for Soare and her daughter Claudia (who now runs her mom's company) to join him. Within six months, Soare found a job as an esthetician doing facials and body waxing at a small salon on Melrose Place in Los Angeles.
Two years later, with a stellar reputation now preceding her and a growing clientele, Soare opened her own salon. In addition to tending to the lines of women waiting at her door, Soare started making special house calls to some of her star clientele.
Today, Soare has achieved "icon" status among Hollywood's elite, and her Beverly Hills salon is a virtual temple to the perfectly arched eyebrow. As her star clientele will attest, there's nobody who plucks and shapes quite the way Soare does. But the next best thing to booking an appointment with Soare herself is to use Anastasia Beverly Hills, her cult product line of brow stencils, pomades, powders, pencils, and accessories. |
