Step 1
Spray Frédéric Fekkai Instant Volume Spray, $17.50, into towel-dried hair and comb through with Frédéric Fekkai Detangling Comb, $30. Blow-dry the front half of your hair with a small round brush to create texture and body. Try: Frédéric Fekkai Small Round Brush, $40. Blow-dry the remainder of your hair straight using a medium round brush. Try: Frédéric Fekkai Medium Round Brush, $45.

Step 2
Grab the back half of your hair (starting just behind your ears) and pull it into a low ponytail, leaving the front of your hair (bangs and sides) loose. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band.

Step 3
Take the right section of loose hair and wrap it around the elastic band.

Step 4
Take the left section of hair and wrap it around the elastic band.

Step 5
Secure by pushing hairpins (about three to four pins) directly into the hair surrounding the elastic band.
