CONTOURING MAGIC:
HOW TO CONTOUR YOUR HEART-SHAPED FACE

Heart-shaped faces have wider foreheads that taper toward the chin. Use contour products to minimize your forehead while maximizing your jawline. This easy, everyday look balances out your face while emphasizing your cheekbones. Learn to wield expert tricks of the shade.

STEP ONE
Highlight the high points of your face. For a heart-shaped face, those points are your jawline, the bridge of your nose, under your eyes, the tops of your cheeks, the corners of your mouth, and the center of your forehead.

STEP TWO
Contour to offset your highlighter. Make sure you've selected a brown shade with a grey undertone so it looks like a shadow, not one tinged with orange or red (like you'd find in a bronzer). Apply the product down your hairline toward your temples, under your chin, under your cheekbones, and down the sides of your nose.

STEP THREE
Blend, beginning with your highlighter. Starting on your forehead, buff in an outward motion. Then, blend the contour product, bringing it slightly toward the center of your face. Blend upward on your forehead to get a little of the contour product in your hairline so you don't have a line of demarcation on your scalp. Keep blending until there are no harsh lines.

STEP FOUR
Finish with a translucent powder. Use a pressing motion so you don't sweep any of your makeup away. Make sure you hit your T-zone and under your eyes, as those spots tend to get the oiliest.
