I like this design much better than the typical egg/rounded tear drop design for that reason. Its a makeup sponge, so theres not too much to say about it other than its tough (in a good way, meaning it doesnt rip or tear like cheaper sponges) it dries quickly as long as you properly clean it, and the flat edge helps chisel out any defining features....Great, but already a tear in it...However, after just 2 weeks it already has a tear in it. Very disappointed in the quality of the sponge and will go back to Sephora and see what they can do.
