I was lucky to get a good one - based on the other reviews and the fact that the jade roller than I received was not up to par. I like this one better anyways because it actually has an inscription of the brand on the handle, unlike the Jade roller....My face muscles feel great, my skin feels soft, and my facial oil absorbed flawlessly. Maybe not worth $50, but it is a beautiful tool to add to your routine!
