I saw in a question someone else asked about using retinol and vitamin c together it was advised not to but I see this is being sold as a set to go together. Is this not a retinol and a vitamin c? Thanks

They should not be layered together. Vitamin C should be used in the morning with your SPF (it can boost the protective effect), and the retinol can be used at night, but not the same nights you use exfoliating acids (like aha/bha, mandelic, lactic etc), as it will make you more sensitive to irritation from the sun and acids.
