Since I have oily skin, I do find this works best as step one in a double-cleansing face wash system (i.e., the makeup removing/oil cleansing step), followed by a water-based cleanser to remove any excess oil/residue left behind, but drier-skinned ladies may find it works nicely all on its own....It might not be the best cleansing balm out there, but it does what claims to do !

nice smell but better balms out there...I love cleansing balms as part of my double cleanse and I like other Glow Recipe products; this balm has a nice scent and it breaks down makeup but I don't think it works as well as Farmacy Green Clean or Elemis; the scent is nice but I will not repurchase this balm...Love this cleansing balm! It’s a great first cleanse to get off all of your makeup & sun screen.

I have combination skin, suffer from hormonal breakouts and I tend to get clogged pores or blackheads, so I was a little hesitant about trying this cleansing balm. Normally cleansing balms or anything that cleanses that isn’t soapy kinda freaks me out because there’s usually an oily residue left behind. ...THE balm...I don’t think I’ve gone through a product so quickly. it smells delicious, the balm’s texture is just so beautiful, and the way it applies on the skin is so buttery and cleanses without drying out the skin. I love to double cleanse my spf with this product at the end of the day and follow with a cleanser.
