Use Your FSA/HSA at Sephora

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)?

FSAs are employee benefit plans offered by some employers in the United States that allow an eligible employee to set aside pretax dollars from their paycheck into a special account that is to be used to pay for eligible health-related expenses. Most FSA dollars are “Use It or Lose It,” which means that you have until the end of your benefits period to spend all of your FSA dollars or they are forfeited. Always check the specifics of your plan because some FSA plans allow a grace period through the beginning of the new plan year for you to spend your FSA dollars, and others allow a portion of your FSA contributions to roll over into the next plan year.

What are Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)?

HSAs are employee benefit plans offered by some employers in the United States that allow an eligible employee to set aside pretax dollars from their paycheck into a special account that is to be used to pay for eligible health-related expenses. HSA do not expire at the end of the benefit period.

A wide variety of over-the-counter healthcare products and treatments may be eligible for FSA and HSA spending at Sephora and on sephora.com, including sunscreens with SPF 15+, acne treatments, acne preventions, medicated skin treatments, and prenatal vitamins. You can shop the selection here. We have added a badge to the highlights section of product pages that align with most eligibility lists for easy identification. Check with your provider to understand the information that is required for your claim. For most providers, the information you need to submit your claim is included in your order-confirmation email or the emailed in-store purchase receipt. You must ask for an emailed receipt at the time of checkout. It is not automatically sent to you.

Some benefits plans require a letter of medical necessity for specific skincare products, so please confirm with your benefits provider that your purchase meets their requirements or has the proper documentation.
