It does leave a film of some sort on your hair, almost like you put texturing spray in your hair - just as a warning....Therefore I was pleasantly surprised that this spray gave me an extra day of decent hair! It worked best for me when I misted my hair with water first, then used the Reactivator, and let it air dry.
