they're different strengths. the original is a lighter eau de parfum with notes of lily/salt/meringue and le parfum is pure parfum (strongest intensity) with amber, frangipani, and benzoin. the EDP is light yellow in color and le parfum is a darker ambery yellow-orange if you can remember the color. if you have the tin it will say what strength it is on it. the best thing you can do is go to sephora and try both to see which it is you remember since both smell amazing!
