I just tried it and my entire head turned into a grease ball. I only put it at the roots, here and there, not everywhere. Are you supposed to apply and then wash your hair? How could anyone leave it in? Did I do something wrong?

Yes, I just tried it and what I did was put it in, then did a steam treatment BEFORE washing my hair.  My scalp is so moisturized and not itchy which will be great as we head into the winter months.
