Do I apply it mid-length only, or should it be applied to the roots too?

Depends how oily and frizzy your hair is. I usually mostly apply it mid lengths but I have applied it to the roots, I’ve never found it weighs down my hair at all or makes it look greasy and I tend to have a more oily scalp
