I have colored hair and use this frequently. Unfortunately it is not fully color safe as anything with salicylic acid will pull a bit of color out. That being said - you can prep your hair with a hair oil before applying to your scalp. And also it really doesn't strip your hair THAT much. I only start to notice a bit of color stripping at the root where I apply it after about 1.5 months when it's time to touch up my roots anyway.
