It completely straightens and I never feel any heat like I would with a regular flat iron or hair dryer!...I do 2 slow passes over each section and it gets my hair completely dry and very straight, as if I used a flat iron. What I like about it over a flat iron is that my fine hair feels more full and looks more voluminous compared to when I use a straightener.
