Can the caffeine present in the lotion be absorbed systemically? should someone sensitive to caffeine avoid this?

Caffeine in skincare products is present in small concentrations and doesn't work the same as consuming caffeine. But yes, it COULD still be absorbed into the several layers of our skin and even into our bloodstream, this all depends on how much caffeine is in the product and where you are applying it, say under the eyes where the skin is thinner. I would do a patch test.
