What is the Beauty Insider Program?

The Beauty Insider Program is our free rewards program in the United States and Canada that lets you earn points on all your merchandise purchases and redeem those points for rewards ("Rewards").

How do I achieve VIB Status

To achieve Very Important Beauty Insider status, spend $350 in a calendar year on Sephora merchandise purchased online, at Sephora stores, at Sephora inside JCPenney stores or Sephora merchandise online at jcpenney.com. Visit the Terms and Conditions page to view full program rules.

Where can I go to find all of my Beauty Insider account information?

Your Beauty Insider page is your destination for everything Beauty Insider related. You can view your year-to-date activity and your current points balance, redeem points for Rewards and gifts and learn about your Beauty Insider benefits. To access this page, simply log in to your Beauty Insider account.

What is my Beauty Bank?

Your Beauty Bank is where you can view your current point balance, as well as your point activity. To view your Beauty Bank balance online, simply log in to your online account.

What does the "Dollars Saved" amount in the 2018 AT A GLANCE section of my Beauty Insider page include?

The "Dollars Saved" amount includes savings from discounts from seasonal promotions and various offers at Sephora stores or on Sephora.com. If you are a Sephora employee, this amount also includes savings from your employee discount. This amount does not include savings from discounts and offers at Sephora inside JCPenney stores or on jcpenney.com, and it does not include savings from discounted or sale items.

How do I earn Beauty Insider points?

For every U.S. or Canadian dollar you spend (as applicable based on country of purchase) on Sephora merchandise online at www.sephora.com or www.sephora.ca, in Sephora retail stores, in Sephora inside JCPenney stores (U.S. only) and online at www.jcpenney.com (Sephora merchandise only), you receive 1 Beauty Insider point as an Insider, 1.25 Beauty Insider points with VIB status, or 1.5 Beauty Insider points with Rouge status when you provide or check out with the email address that is registered to your Beauty Insider account. We also offer bonus points events from time to time and in that circumstance the bonus points offer would apply in lieu of these point thresholds. For example, if we had a 3x points offer on a particular product, a Beauty Insider, VIB member and Rouge member would get 3 points for every U.S. or Canadian dollar spent instead of the usual 1 point, 1.25 points or 1.5 points (as applicable).

What types of merchandise count for collecting Beauty Insider points?

The value of "merchandise" for purposes of collecting points includes all products sold on www.sephora.com and www.sephora.ca, in Sephora retail stores, in U.S. Sephora inside JCPenney retail stores and online at www.jcpenney.com (Sephora merchandise only and only if you use your registered Beauty Insider email address for your order). It also includes payment for in-store services like Dry Bar Services and Brow Bar Services. The value of "merchandise" does not include e-gift cards, gift cards, a FLASH Shipping subscription, a Play! Subscription, tickets for special Sephora-sponsored events, taxes and/or shipping. However, if a bonus points event applies to any of these non-merchandise categories, the bonus points event rules will apply. Visit the Terms and Conditions page to view full program rules.

Can I earn Beauty Insider points at Sephora inside JCPenney (U.S. Only)?

Yes! When purchasing Sephora merchandise at Sephora inside JCPenney retail store locations, be sure to let our beauty experts know. Beauty Insider members that make a purchase at a Sephora inside JCPenney store will accrue Beauty Insider points. Purchases made at Sephora inside JCPenney stores count towards VIB and Rouge status.

Can I earn Beauty Insider points on jcpenney.com?

Yes! When purchasing Sephora merchandise at Sephora inside JCPenney retail store locations, be sure to let our beauty experts know. Beauty Insider members that make a purchase at a Sephora inside JCPenney store will accrue Beauty Insider points. Purchases made at Sephora inside JCPenney stores count towards VIB and Rouge status .

What happens to my points when I return items?

All points earned from this purchase, including bonus points, will be deducted from your account when merchandise is returned that was originally purchased using your Beauty Insider account. It is possible your account could have a negative balance after merchandise is returned.

What happens to my Beauty Insider points if part of my order is cancelled?

Beauty Insider Points are awarded for all merchandise that is purchased. If an item is cancelled from your order, you will not be charged and you will not receive Beauty Insider points for that item.

What is the Beauty Insider Rewards Bazaar?

The Beauty Insider Rewards Bazaar is where Sephora offers Rewards in exchange for a certain number of accrued points ranging from 50 points to 100,000 points, from time to time and at Sephora's sole discretion. The Rewards Bazaar offers are for a limited time, while supplies last, and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Quantities of each Reward are limited and client must be a registered Beauty Insider in order to redeem points for Rewards Bazaar offers. Rewards can only be redeemed in store or shipped to addresses in the US or Canada. Beauty Insider members may only redeem points for one of each reward per transaction and must have the sufficient number of Beauty Insider points in their Beauty Bank available at time of redemption. Points will be deducted at time of redemption.

Rewards available for redemption in stores do not require a merchandise purchase. Rewards valued from 50 to 749 points and all require a merchandise purchase if redeemed online. Merchandise does not include e-gift cards, gift cards, a FLASH Shipping subscription, a Play! Subscription, taxes or shipping.

Rewards valued from 750 points to 100,000 points offered online do not require a merchandise purchase and are provided with free standard shipping. Rewards redeemed for more than 750 points (and up to 100,000 points) without a merchandise purchase are not eligible for free samples and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotion codes or discounts during checkout. Beauty Insider points will be re-credited if a Reward redeemed for more than 750 points (and up to 100,000 points) is canceled by Sephora.

Rewards are non-transferable, have no cash value (unless required by law) and cannot be exchanged, sold or returned. Sephora is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged rewards. Sephora and Sephora brands are not responsible for any taxes incurred by clients or guests. Some rewards may only be available to residents of a particular country (e.g., U.S. residents only or Canada residents only). Employees of Sephora or Sephora inside JCPenney or JCPenney are not eligible to redeem Rewards valued from 750 points to 100,000 points. Rewards are subject to change, alteration, substitution, or termination by Sephora in its sole discretion at any time. See specific Reward offers for any additional terms and conditions.

What are Rewards?

Rewards are typically deluxe product samples, product bundles or experiences that can be redeemed in exchange for the corresponding number of accrued points from your Beauty Bank. Rewards between 50-749 points and all can be redeemed with a purchase of merchandise from Sephora online or in store. Rewards valued from 750 points to 100,000 points offered online do not require a merchandise purchase and are provided with free standard shipping. VIB and Rouge members also have access to exclusive Rewards such as full-size products, and Rouge members have access to a Rouge Reward valued at $100.

How do I redeem Rewards?

Once you have logged into your online Beauty Insider account, you will be able to add a Reward to your online basket from the Rewards Bazaar, or during the checkout process. When shopping in-store, you will see the Rewards Bazaar at the registers when you check out.

Can I return Rewards?

Unfortunately, Rewards may not be returned or exchanged for points or cash, for another product, gift card, or e-gift certificate.

Will I earn points when redeeming my Rouge Reward?

You will not earn points on the $100 value of the Rouge Reward but you will earn points on any incremental dollars spent on merchandise in the transaction.

What happens to my Beauty Insider Reward if part of my order or entire order is cancelled?

Beauty Insider Rewards less than 750 points can only be shipped with merchandise orders only. Beauty Insider Rewards from 750 points to 100,000 points can be shipped without a merchandise order. If the item that is cancelled from your order drops your points balance below the required points to redeem the reward, you will still receive the reward as long as other merchandise is being shipped. Points will be deducted from your account for the reward. It is possible your account could have a negative balance if you do not have enough points in your account because of the item cancellation. If your entire order is cancelled, any Beauty Insider Reward less than 750 points will not ship because a merchandise purchase is required; Beauty Insider Rewards from 750 points to 100,000 points will still ship.

What happens to my samples, sample bag or other promotional items if part of my order or entire order is cancelled?

Samples, Sample Bags and all other promotional items are shipped with merchandise orders only. If part of your order is cancelled, the Samples, Sample Bag and/or other promotional items in your order will ship with the rest of your merchandise order. If your entire order is cancelled, the Samples, Sample Bag and other promotional items will not ship because a merchandise purchase is required.

Are there any limitations to the number of Rewards that I can redeem?

Due to limited quantities, you can only redeem one unit of any particular Reward from the Rewards Bazaar in a given redemption transaction. In addition, you may not redeem more than 10 of the same type of Reward.

What is a Rouge Reward and who can use one?

A Rouge Reward is a non-transferable $100 reward available to Rouge members in exchange for redemption of 2,500 Beauty Insider points, while supplies last. A $100 Rouge Reward then can be used online or in store for the purchase of merchandise only. Merchandise does not include e-gift cards, gift cards, a FLASH Shipping subscription, a Play! Subscription, taxes or shipping. Employees of Sephora, Sephora inside JCPenney, and JCPenney are not eligible to redeem points for Rouge Rewards.

Where and how can I use my Rouge Reward?

A Rouge Reward can be used online and at Sephora stores in the US and Canada to purchase merchandise. To use the Rouge Reward online, enter the code into the promo code field at checkout. To use this code in-store, reference the code (via the email link) during checkout and provide the code to a cast member at checkout. Only one Rouge Reward can be used per transaction, and it must be used within 90 days of the date of the confirmation email containing the link to generate the Rouge Reward code. The full $100 amount must be used in a single transaction; any remaining value will be forfeited. A Rouge Reward cannot be used in Puerto Rico stores, at Sephora inside JCPenney stores or at jcpenney.com. A Rouge Reward cannot be used on international orders, to purchase e-gift cards or gift cards, FLASH Shipping or Play! subscriptions, on taxes or on shipping.

How quickly will I receive and be able to use my Rouge Reward after I redeem points for it?

After you redeem points for a Rouge Reward in the Rewards Bazaar, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours that will provide a link to generate a code and instructions on how to use the code to purchase merchandise. The code, once received via the link, is immediately available for use. If you have not received your confirmation email within 48 hours, please contact Customer Service at customerservice@sephora.com or by phone at 1-877-SEPHORA. The code can be viewed multiple times from the same confirmation email, but the code will expire after 90 days from the date of the email.

Can I give my Rouge Reward code to someone else?

A Rouge Reward is not transferable and may not be sold, transferred or assigned to anyone else. Attempts to transfer the code may invalidate the Rouge Reward. You can always use your Rouge Reward to purchase merchandise as a gift for someone else.

Can I use my Rouge Reward in conjunction with promotional discounts?

A Rouge Reward cannot be used in conjunction with any promotional discounts.

What happens if part of my online order or my entire online order purchased with a Rouge Reward gets cancelled?

If an item from your order purchased with a Rouge Reward gets cancelled by Sephora, you will receive an online merchandise credit for the prorated value of the Rouge Reward. If your entire online order purchased with a Rouge Reward is cancelled by Sephora, you will receive an online merchandise credit in the original value of the Rouge Reward. If you choose to cancel your order (in whole or in part), you will forfeit the Rouge Reward and will not be issued an online merchandise credit.

Can I return or exchange an item purchased with a Rouge Reward?

Items purchased with a Rouge Reward cannot be returned to Sephora stores, Sephora.com or Sephora inside JCPenney. Unused and unopened items can be exchanged in Sephora stores only for the exact same item (for example, if the item was damaged).

Does my Rouge Reward Expire?

Yes. The Rouge Reward code expires 90 days after the date of the confirmation email containing the link used to generate the code. If the $100 value is not used during this period it will be forfeited.

How can I redeem my Birthday Gift?

All Beauty Insider members are eligible to redeem one Birthday Gift per year during the month of their birthday. To see the different Birthday Gift options for your Beauty Insider status, please visit the Beauty Insider benefits page. Birthday Gift options vary by status and VIB and Rouge members are eligible to choose between a Birthday Gift or 250 points. To redeem in Sephora or Sephora inside JCPenney stores, provide a Cast Member with your registered Beauty Insider email address. No purchase is necessary when redeeming your gift in store. To redeem online, a merchandise purchase is required and the gift will be available at checkout. Merchandise does not include e-gift cards, gift cards, a FLASH Shipping subscription, a Play! Subscription, taxes or shipping. Offer not valid on jcpenney.com. If it is your birthday month and you are having problems redeeming your gift online, please email customerservice@sephora.com or call 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672). Substitutions may occur. Yes, you can redeem the 250 points to redeem Rewards in the same transaction that you selected your 250 points birthday gift in in Sephora or Sephora inside JCPenney stores, or online at sephora.com.

Do Rouge members still receive free custom makeovers?

Rouge members still receive free Makeup Deluxe: The Full-Face Makeovers (formerly custom makeovers) with no minimum purchase for the remainder of 2018 when they make an appointment. Don’t forget, all Beauty Insider members receive free 45-minute Makeup Deluxe: The Full-Face Makeovers when you spend $50 or more. What is my FLASH Shipping benefit as a Rouge member?

As a Rouge member, you can opt in to unlimited, free 2-day FLASH Shipping on sephora.com/FLASH. No minimum purchase is required. All Beauty Insider members can purchase FLASH for $15/yr.

Can I join Beauty Classes?

Yes, Beauty Classes are free for all Beauty Insiders. Join our instructors as they help you learn everything from skincare basics to the latest makeup trends. Available in U.S. Sephora stores only; does not include Sephora inside JCPenney stores. Must be 13 years or older.

How can I sign up for free Beauty Classes?

As a Beauty Insider, you can sign up for free Beauty Classes by visiting sephora.com/store-locations-events or by visiting your local Sephora store.

What are Beauty Insider Store Events?

Beauty Insider members may receive invitations to Insider, VIB or Rouge only events. Because space is limited at these events, prior registration is required. Please follow the instructions in your invitation email to register for the event. If an event books to capacity, a waitlist will be created and clients will be notified of any open availability.

I noticed that the Rouge private hotline is no longer part of the stated benefits. Is this still available to Rouge members?

Yes, Rouge members still get a dedicated private hotline. Please call 1-855-55-ROUGE to speak with a Beauty Advisor.

What is the Beauty Insider Card?

The Beauty Insider Card is not a credit card, gift card or other prepaid or stored value card; it is a membership card for our free Rewards program that you can request from our associates in store. Points that you earn as part of the Beauty Insider Program are therefore not stored on the Beauty Insider Card. You do not need a Beauty Insider Card to shop at Sephora or to accumulate points in your Beauty Bank; you only need to provide your email address or your Beauty Insider Card number. To view your Beauty Insider card from a Smart Phone, download our app (iOS or Android) or log into your account from your mobile device. Your Beauty Insider Card is not transferable.

Do Points expire?

We encourage you to redeem your points often, so that you get to experience the full benefits of the Beauty Insider program including product, gifts, experiences and events. All unredeemed points expire when you have not engaged in point activity associated with your Beauty Bank (through purchase or redemption for Rewards or Birthday Gift) for 18 months or more. If you have questions regarding the date of your last point activity or your last purchase, you may email customerservice@sephora.com or call 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672) for more information. In addition, points will automatically expire if your Membership is revoked or otherwise cancelled.
