I received this as a complimentary gift from La Mer after placing a large order, and I never would’ve spent $90 on a lip treatment myself. That said, after using it consistently, I can tell it’s a much more elevated product than most lip balms or glosses I’ve tried.  The texture is incredibly smooth and cushiony in a way cheaper products aren’t. Most lip treatments only work while they’re sitting on your lips, but with this, my lips still feel softer, plumper, and more hydrated even after it’s absorbed or worn off.  It definitely feels packed with La Mer’s signature “treatment” ingredients and not just like a basic balm in luxury packaging. Is it necessary? No. You can find good lip products for much less. But if you love luxury skincare and don’t mind paying for the experience, it really is a beautiful product.
