Has anyone experienced these breaking with like minimal use? Or did I just get a defective one?

I have just purchased my second PT eyeliner and both have broken within a week of use. When you first purchase, open the lid and tilt the pencil into your hand. The pencil lead will immediately fall out into your hand as if it is not secured to the casing at all. For both pencils I have had to put them back together. I love the colour of the deep bronze and am super disappointed that this keeps happening. Once I put them back together they work for a bit but then I can’t twist them up past a certain point and they go in the trash.
