I have very dry 40-something skin…this gives a subtle life to makeup that makes it not look like makeup. It is not a flashy product. Just luminous. I still use a separate highlighter, but this is a lovely glow. I think matte skin tends to look like makeup and highlights texture. In my opinion this is more forgiving. I say it’s worth a try. For context, I’m fair skinned with dark hair and green eyes. My face wants an ethereal, luminous effect. Other people that might just look like they’re oily, but it doesn’t read that way for me. We all have different seasons and effects that will change how this reads.
