Does this need to be washed off with cleanser in the morning?

No this doesn't need to be washed off. This lightweight gel cream absorbs quickly into the skin and is non-greasy. It hydrates well and I find that my skin is very soft in the morning. Also it has a fruity scent that reminds me of tropical punch. It's pleasant during application and fades away.
