How can one pump be enough to cover your entire scalp and hair?

I'm not sure about the amount they recommend but with any hair serum that I use I always wear a pair of disposable gloves to apply. That way it doesn't soak into the skin of your hands and it all ends up either on your scalp or in your hair and it goes further ).
