I have purchased Drybar morning after shower caps many times and they have always develope mold on the terry cloth all around the edges. Why is this happening?

This is common with any terry lined shower cap. Though I wouldn?t put it in the laundry to avoid melting or shrinking, I do the following; after showering always flip it inside out and allow to air dry (anywhere but the bathroom so steam doesn?t get to it, that makes it worse. I usually leave mine on the doorknob of my bedroom!) When it is time to wash it after several uses, I just soak it in a pot with water and mild dish soap, or lingerie soap so as not to ruin the elasticity or the terry cloth. Mine has held up for years as a result.
