why does it say for fine hair?? is there a different kind for thick.

It's just because it doesn't weigh hair down or make it oily, which tend to be issues people with fine hair struggle with. This will still provide the same benefits (shine, frizz control) for other hair types. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for people with especially dry scalps, though. Mine tends to be oily, and my experience with this stuff is that it inhibits excess oil production. Hope this answers your question!
