mac ruby woo has been an holy grail since i started wearing red lipstick, and i love the ruby woo equivalents in the locked kiss ink and liquid retro matte. i was hesitant to see how this could be longer lasting than the og lipstick, but it IS. i wore it to a concert (have no other close up photos besides the one posted haha) and it lasted the whole show with only one smudge from where i was drinking from a water bottle while jumping around and sweating. no lipstick is 100% transfer proof ever on me, but this one STAYS. i enjoyed the finish more so than the locked kiss ink, and when i eat (if it starts to wear off) it does so much more evenly than the liquid. minus one star because it’s hard to be super precise with the applicator - wish it was a little smaller so i could get to the inner corners easier!

I've never purchased Gucci makeup before and didn't know what to expect. I'm really surprised by the staying power it has; it didn't transfer onto the inside of my mask at all, and even though it looks matte, it doesn't have that really dried-down, crusty feeling. idk if I'll buy it myself because of the price tag, but I definitely plan to keep using this one....When it comes to if I would recommend it, I would say to those who can afford a $42 lipstick and want to experience Gucci makeup, go for it! But I would also say, don’t feel the need to break the bank as there are definitely other lipsticks out there that can be a dupe for this!
