Really does what it says, blurs pores and reduces shine upon application, but I can't speak to oil control throughout the day since my skin is on the dry side. It's translucent on SUPER pale skin and didn't alter the color of my foundation, even under the eyes!...I do have super pale skin, so I’ve never noticed any chalkiness, but it might do that for anyone with any skin tones beyond porcelain/alabaster shades.
