Extended Holiday Return Period

For in-store and Sephora.com (including any Sephora social media channels) purchases of merchandise made on or after Friday October 31, 2025, through and including Tuesday, December 30, 2025, we offer an extended holiday return period as an exception to our normal Return Policy. So long as such merchandise is returned or exchanged on or before Friday, January 30, 2026, we will allow in-store exchanges, store credit in the form of a Sephora merchandise credit for returns made in-store, or online credit for returns of Sephora.com purchases made by mail initiated on Sephora.com. Approved returns within 30 days of purchase with a receipt are refunded to the original form of payment (excluding PayPal online purchases). Merchandise credits can only be used at Sephora stores and not on Sephora.com. Online credits can be used at Sephora.com but is not valid for use in Sephora stores. Any purchases made after Wednesday December 31, 2025, will follow our normal Return Policy guidelines. All other terms of our Return Policy continue to apply, including for merchandise returned within 30 days of purchase.

Only purchases made at Sephora and Sephora.ca are included in the extended Holiday Return policies.

THIS POLICY IS EFFECTIVE FOR ALL PURCHASES MADE ON AND AFTER APRIL 24, 2025.

Returns Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with a Sephora purchase or gift for any reason, Sephora welcomes you to return new or gently used products for a full refund to your original method of payment if returned within 30 days of purchase, in most cases. In order to complete the return, you must have a proof of purchase.

Please review our return, refund, and exchange policies below for purchases made on Sephora.ca purchases, purchases of Sephora items on third-party digital marketplaces, purchases made in Sephora stores, and purchases made on third party on-demand delivery marketplaces such Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats. Products must be returned in new or gently used condition. Sephora monitors return activity by customers for abuse, and if we detect what we consider to be excessive or potentially fraudulent return activity from a customer, that customer may be notified in writing that Sephora will no longer accept any returns from that customer, with or without a receipt.

All returns are subject to validation and approval at Sephora’s discretion. If a return is not approved by Sephora for any reason, the item may not be returned to you. Beauty Insider points associated with all refunds will be removed when the refund transaction is processed.

Sephora.ca Purchases

New or gently used Sephora.ca purchases can be easily returned for FREE (no return shipping or handling fees) to any of our Sephora Canada locations or by mail if you use our pre-paid return shipping label (follow the return procedures described below). We regret that we are unable to refund your original shipping charges, if applicable, unless the return was a result of our error.

Please allow 30 days for your return to be processed if sent by mail. You will receive an email confirmation once your return has been processed. Your financial institution may take longer to reflect the transaction. Shipped returns will be delayed due to the ongoing Canada Post labour disruption.

Items purchased on Sephora.ca may not be returned by mail or in stores and will not be refunded more than 30 days after the purchase date.

Items shipped to Sephora outside of the returns window, not in new or gently used condition, without a Sephora original packing slip, or not purchased at Sephora.ca, may not be credited back or returned to you.

We will not offer replacements or refunds for orders or items that are reported missing or damaged that we reasonably believe to have been delivered to a parcel forwarding company.

Sephora.ca is unable to offer exchanges by mail; however, we are happy to exchange your new or gently used product in any of our store locations within 30 days of purchase.

If there is a discrepancy between the return policy and procedures printed on the Sephora original packing slip and the information provided above, the information provided above governs the return of your Sephora.ca purchase.

* If you paid with Klarna or Afterpay and Sephora receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund to your Klarna or Afterpay account and the amount and length of your payment plan will be adjusted accordingly.

* If you paid with Afterpay, and Sephora receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, the purchase price will be refunded to a credit or debit card of your choice. This refund will NOT be applied to your Afterpay account and you MUST continue to make payments to Afterpay per the original agreement.

** If you paid with Klarna, and Sephora receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund to your Klarna account and the amount and length of your payment plan will be adjusted accordingly

For new or gently used items returned in a Sephora Canada store, please provide any of the following: an original packing slip, Sephora.ca Order or Shipping Confirmation email, the Sephora.ca order on your mobile device or your Beauty Insider information. Your return will be processed according to this refund and exchange policy. Any products not verifiable within our system will be ineligible for a refund, exchange, or credit.

Here are two easy ways to return your item:

  • Using the link above indicate which items will be returned and the reason for each return.*

  • No packing slip is needed if the Prepaid Return Label is used.

  • Package your return item in the manufacturer's product box and Sephora packaging (if available). Otherwise, pack your return in a well-padded envelope or box to prevent damage in transit.

  • Print the Prepaid Return Label from the link above and mail your return via Canada Postal Service (Canada Post).

  • Track your order using the link above.

  • You will receive an email confirmation when your return is processed.

It takes up to 30 days to process returns and credit your account or to issue an online store credit. Please note that your financial institution may take longer to reflect the transaction.

*Gift Cards, certain Sephora Favorites Kits and some intimate care items are final sale and cannot be returned by mail or in store.

2. Sephora.ca Returns to Store Locations

Visit any free-standing Sephora store to return an item purchased from Sephora.com or third-party marketplace within 30 days of purchase. Please bring any of the following: an original packing slip, Sephora.ca Order or Shipping Confirmation email, the Sephora.com order on your mobile device, your Beauty Insider information. Additionally, please bring the debit or credit card you used to place your order. Returns made within 30 days will be refunded to the credit or debit card of your choice.

Gift Returns

If you are returning a Sephora gift that you received by mail and do not want the refund to go to the purchaser, please visit your local Sephora store for assistance with an exchange or a merchandise credit. Please bring any of the following: an original packing slip, Sephora.com Order or Shipping Confirmation email, or Gift Receipt email. Do not make a return by mail.

Sephora In-store Purchases, Buy Online and Pick Up Orders, Same Day Delivery Orders, Instacart, Doordash and Uber Eats Orders

Instacart, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Sephora in-store purchases, Buy Online and Pick Up orders, and Same-Day Delivery orders of Sephora products may be returned within 30 days, if the product is in new or gently used condition with a receipt or gift receipt at a store location. See the table below for information on the payment method to which your refund will be issued. Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber Eats returns will be refunded directly from the Marketplace that the order was placed on, in the original form of payment. in the original form of payment. Sephora in-store purchases, Buy Online and Pick Up orders, Instacart, Doordash, and Uber Eats orders cannot be returned by mail. All gift cards are final sale and no refunds will be given.

Sephora Canada store credit does not have an expiration date, cannot be redeemed for cash (unless required by law), reloaded, transferred to others, or sold and can only be used at Sephora Canada stores (not at Sephora.ca or through Customer Service). Sephora store credit will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

* We do not refund Instacart, Doordash, or Uber Eats fees or tips to personal shoppers.

** If you paid with Afterpay on a Buy Online and Pickup in Store order or a Same Day Delivery order, and Sephora receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, the purchase price will be refunded to a credit or debit card of your choice. This refund will NOT be applied to your Afterpay account and you MUST continue to make payments to Afterpay per the original agreement.

*** If you paid with Klarna on a Buy Online and Pickup in Store order or a Same Day Delivery order, and Sephora receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund to your Klarna account and the amount and length of your payment plan will be adjusted accordingly.

If you paid with Klarna or Afterpay, and Sephora receives your new or gently used item within 30 days of purchase, the purchase price will be refunded to the Klarna or Afterpay card used on the original transaction, which is stored in either Apple Pay or Google Pay. The amount and length of your payment plan will be adjusted accordingly.

Beauty Insider points associated with your refund will be removed when the transaction is processed. All applicable taxes as required by law will be included.

New or gently used items returned without a receipt but found within our system will be processed according to the applicable Sephora refund and exchange policy. Any products not verifiable within our system will be ineligible for a refund, exchange, or merchandise credit.

Sephora is also happy to exchange your new or gently used Sephora in-store purchase or Instacart or Doordash purchase of Sephora product for another product within 30 days of purchase.
