It does start very strong but quickly emerges into dark red rose scent, characterized by dark chocolate and patchouli. Truly earthy and truly worthy! ...Someone mentioned it smelled like a garden of chocolate roses and I was sold. I absolutely love it.

When you apply it on your skin, it leaves a slight sheen, but the scent is fragrant of being inside of a French bakery or walking in a candy shop with smooth chocolates, or caramel. My only complaint is that I wish the perfume oil came in a larger size....Favorite perfume oil...You really get that chocolate and wood and it mixes well. Personally I don’t consider this a vanilla heavy fragrance, that chocolate and wood come out a lot on me.
