Card Issuer

Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards, and Store Merchandise Credits issued in the U.S. are issued by LGCS Inc., which is the sole legal obligor to the cardholder. Neither Sephora USA, Inc. nor any of its subsidiaries or affiliates (including Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc.) other than LGCS Inc. shall be liable to a cardholder with respect to Gift cCards, eGift Cards, or Store Merchandise Credits issued in the U.S.

Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards, and Store Merchandise Credits issued in Canada are issued by Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc., which is the sole legal obligor to the cardholder. Neither Sephora USA, Inc. nor any of its subsidiaries or affiliates (including LGCS Inc.) shall be liable to a cardholder with respect to Gift Cards, eGift Cards, and Store Merchandise Credits issued in Canada.

LGCS, Inc., Sephora USA, Inc., Sephora Beauty Canada, Inc., and their affiliates shall collectively be referred to herein as “Sephora”.

Types of Cards

  • Gift Cards: physical cards that have a 16-digit gift card number and an 8-digit PIN.

  • eGift Cards: virtual cards that have a 16-digit gift card number and an 8-digit PIN.

  • Store Merchandise Credits: physical cards that have a 16-digit card number. There is no PIN.

All Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards and Store Merchandise Credits are redeemable at Sephora locations for merchandise only (except as required by law) and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, altered, destroyed, or used without authorization. Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards and Store Merchandise Credits have no expiration date and no fees will be charged against the unused balance of the gift cards. Ways to Buy a Sephora Gift Card or eGift Card

There are three ways to buy plastic Sephora Gift Cards:

  1. In store: any Sephora stores or authorized retailers in the U.S. and Canada

  2. Online: sephora.com, sephora.ca, the Sephora App, or authorized retailers

  3. By phone: customer service at 1-877-SEPHORA

There is one way to buy Sephora eGift Cards:

  1. Online: sephora.com, sephora.ca, the Sephora app, or authorized retailers. eGift Cards purchased through sephora.com or sephora.ca are distributed by CashStar, Inc.

Sephora will only honor Gift Cards and eGift Cards purchased through our stores, website, mobile app, and authorized retailers. We no longer sell eGift Certificates. You cannot use a Sephora Gift Card, eGift Card, or eGift Certificate to purchase Gift Cards or eGift Cards. All sales of Gift Cards and eGift Cards are non-refundable and are final.

One gift card can be purchased per online order. To purchase multiple gift cards online, please place a separate order for each. You can also visit a Sephora store to purchase multiple gift cards. The maximum denomination for a gift card is $250. If you wish to purchase more than $2,500, please use our Corporate Ordering Platform or call 1-844-828-5335.

How to Check My Gift Card, eGift Card or Store Merchandise Credit Balance

There are four ways to check your Gift Card or eGift Card balance:

  1. Online at sephora.com or sephora.ca: Sign in to your Account. From the Account Information page, locate the Payments & Credits section. Enter your card number and PIN and click on “check” to check your balance on the gift card or eGift card.

  2. Online or on the Sephora app: Click here to check your gift card or eGift Card balance.

  3. By phone: Call 1-888-860-7897 to check the balance on a Gift Card or eGift Card.

  4. In Store: If you have the physical card, a printout or have the eGift Card on your mobile device, a Beauty Advisor can check the balance on your gift card or eGift Card for US and Canada stores.

The balance of a Store Merchandise Credit can only be checked in person at a Sephora store.

Your gift card balance is an estimate only. In most cases, the balance is adjusted immediately when you make a purchase, but there may be occasions when the balance adjustment is delayed.

Do not attempt to check your balance through any third-party sites. Such third-party sites are likely to be scams, and use of them may result in the theft of your gift card, eGift Card, store merchandise credit, and/or potentially other personal information. Sephora is not responsible for the safety or reliability of non-Sephora systems or platforms, or any loss of your gift card, eGift Card, or store merchandise credit as a result of the use of such sites.

How to redeem a Sephora Gift Card, eGift Card or eGift Certificate

A Sephora Gift Card, eGift Card, or Store Merchandise Credit is redeemable only for merchandise and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards, and Store Merchandise Credits have no expiration date and are not charged any fees against the unused balance. If the amount of the order exceeds the amount of the Gift Cards, eGift Cards, or Store Merchandise Credits, an additional method of payment is required to pay for the balance of the order. If the amount of the order is less than the balance of the Gift Cards, eGift Cards, or Store Merchandise Credits, the balance remains on the card for future redemption. If any online credit is available on the account, that online credit will automatically be applied first.

The daily exchange rate will determine the value of your Canadian Gift Cards, eGift Cards, or Store Merchandise Credits if used in U.S. and the value of your U.S. Gift Cards, eGift Cards, or Store Merchandise Credits if used in Canada. Gift cards, eGift Cards, or Store Merchandise Credits purchased in U.S. or Canada cannot be used in other international locations or international websites.

How to Redeem a Sephora Gift Card or eGift Card Online

Sephora Gift Cards and eGift Cards have a 16-digit gift card code, and an 8-digit PIN. To redeem online, just follow these easy steps:

Step 1 (for plastic Gift Cards only)

Using a coin or fingernail, scratch off the foil covering the 8-digit gift card PIN. This is located on the back of the Gift Card, in the right corner.

Step 2

On the Checkout page in the Payment section, enter your Gift Card number and PIN.*

Step 3

Hit the “Save & Continue” button in the lower right corner of the Payment area. You will see the Gift Card amount deducted from your total order on the right side of the page.

**I entered my gift card information. Why is it still asking for my credit card?***

Your Gift Card or eGift Card may not cover the full order total, which can include sales tax and shipping fees. Gift/eGift Card funds will be applied to your order total first, and any remaining amount will need to be paid with another method of payment, such as credit or debit card or PayPal. Currently, we are unable to combine Gift Cards or eGift Cards with Klarna or Afterpay. On the Confirmation Order page, be sure to review the payment information and total charge of your order to confirm all details are correct.

Redemption Limitations

Up to two Gift Cards and/or eGift Cards can be used per online order. Up to ten Gift Cards and/or eGift Cards can be used per online order by contacting Customer Service at 1-877-SEPHORA.

Redeeming Sephora Gift Cards at Kohl’s or Sephora at Kohl’s

Sephora Gift Cards and eGift Cards are redeemable at Sephora at Kohl’s stores. They are not able to be redeemed at Kohls.com. Store Merchandise Credits are not redeemable at Sephora at Kohl’s stores or on Kohls.com.

Adding Value to an Existing Gift Card, eGift Card or Store Merchandise Credit

Funds can only be added to an existing Gift Card by going to a Sephora retail store location if the Gift Card was purchased at a Sephora store, on our website, or on our mobile app. Value cannot be added to eGift Cards, to gift cards purchased at authorized retailers, or to Store Merchandise Credits.

Returning an Item That was purchased by a Gift Card, eGift Card or Store Merchandise Credit

Items purchased by a Sephora Gift Card, eGift Card, or Store Merchandise Credit and returned will be subject to Sephora’s returns policy. The refund will be credited to either an online credit (if returned by mail) or another Gift Card or Store Merchandise Credit, depending on the original method of payment for the item (if returned in store). If returned to within store 31–-60 days and the return is accepted, Store Merchandise Credit is issued.

Sephora Store Merchandise Credit

Sephora Store Merchandise Credits cannot be used online or on our mobile app at this time. They are only accepted in Sephora stores for merchandise purchases. They are usually issued by Sephora stores for approved merchandise returns made within 31–-60 days.

Sephora Gift Card, Store Credit, and Promotional Card Terms and Conditions

The following Sephora Gift Card, Store Credit, and Promotional Card Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) describes the terms and conditions that apply to use of Sephora Gift Cards, Sephora Store Credits, and Sephora Promotional Cards (collectively, “Cards”) issued in the U.S. This Agreement is between you, the Cardholder, and LGCS Inc. (“LGCS”). BY PURCHASING, ACCEPTING OR USING YOUR CARD, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT PURCHASE, USE OR ACCEPT THE CARD.

IMPORTANT: THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES BY ARBITRATION INSTEAD OF IN COURT. PLEASE REVIEW THE PROVISIONS REGARDING ARBITRATION BEFORE PURCHASING, USING, OR ACCEPTING THE CARD.

1. Changes To Agreement

LGCS reserves the right to change this Agreement from time to time in its discretion, which changes we may provide to you by any reasonable means, including without limitation, by posting the revised version of this Agreement at sephora.com. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE AGREEMENT AFTER THE POSTING OF CHANGES CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHANGES.

2. About Your Card

The Cards are issued by LGCS. LGCS is an affiliated entity of Sephora USA, Inc. and is authorized to issue the Cards for sale or distribution by and redemption at participating Sephora stores located in the United States, online at sephora.com in the U.S., on the U.S. Sephora mobile app and at Sephora Kohl's Stores, as explained in more detail in Section 5, below. LGCS is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Card program in the United States. LGCS is the sole legal obligor to the Cardholder. Sephora USA, Inc. and its affiliates and related entities (other than LGCS) bear no responsibility or liability for the use or malfunction of any Cards, and you hereby knowingly release Sephora USA, Inc. and its affiliates and related entities (other than LGCS) from any and all liability or claims of any nature whatsoever arising in connection with the use of the Card.

Sephora Gift Cards can be purchased at participating store locations, online at sephora.com in the US, on the US Sephora app, through Sephora’s toll-free customer service telephone number (1-877-SEPHORA), and from authorized retailers. Sephora eGift Cards are available for purchase from cCashsStar.com or from authorized retailers. Sephora Store Merchandise Credits are typically issued by Sephora stores for approved merchandise returns made within 31–60 days.

3. Gift Card Balances

Your Gift Card balance is an estimate only. In most cases, the balance is adjusted immediately when you make a purchase, but there may be occasions when the balance adjustment is delayed.

Do not attempt to check your balance through any third-party sites. Such third-party sites are likely to be scams, and use of them may result in the theft of your Gift Card, eGift Card, Store Merchandise Credit, and/or potentially other personal information. Sephora is not responsible for the safety or reliability of non-Sephora systems or platforms, or any loss of your Gift Card, eGift Card, or Store Merchandise Credit as a result of the use of such sites. 4. Expiration/Deactivation

Sephora Gift Cards and Store Credits do not expire. No fees for inactivity or service fees apply. LGCS reserves the right to refuse to honor any Card in the event of a disputed credit card charge, bounced check or other failure of consideration.

5. Redemption

A Sephora Gift Card is redeemable for purchases of merchandise at participating Sephora locations in the United States and Canada, online at Sephora.com, on the Sephora mobile app, and at Sephora Kohl's Stores. A Sephora Store Merchandise Credit is redeemable only for purchases of merchandise at participating U.S. or Canada store locations and is not redeemable online or through our Sephora mobile app. A Sephora Promotional Credit is redeemable only for purchases of merchandise at participating Sephora locations in the United States, online at Sephora.com in the U.S., and through the U.S. Sephora mobile app. The Cards have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash (except as required by law) or used to purchase another Card.

6. No Refunds

NO REFUNDS ARE PERMITTED WITH RESPECT TO CARDS EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT REQUIRED BY LAW.

7. No Resale

The Cards may not be resold without LGCS’s express written authorization. A Card is not valid and will not be honored, and LGCS will not be liable for the value of the Card, if the Card is obtained from an unauthorized seller or reseller, including through any internet auction site.

8. Lost, Damaged or Stolen Cards Used Without Authorization

The value of any Card will not be replaced if the Card is lost, stolen, altered, destroyed, or used without authorization.

9. Returns of Merchandise Purchased with Card and Store Merchandise Credit

Merchandise purchased by a Sephora Gift Card or eGift Card and returned will be subject to Sephora’s Returns policy. If the merchandise is eligible for return and was originally purchased with a Card, and the return is made in a Sephora store within 30 days, the refund will be in the form of a new gift card. For returns made in a Sephora store within 31 - 60 days, the refund will be in the form of a store merchandise credit that can only be used in a Sephora store. For returns made by mail within 60 days, the refund will be in the form of online credit that can only be used at sephora.com. Returns after 60 days are not accepted.

Merchandise purchased by a store merchandise credit and returned will be subject to Sephora’s Returns policy. If the merchandise is eligible for return and the return is made within 60 days, the refund will be in the form of a new store merchandise credit. Purchases made with a store merchandise credit can only be returned in store.

10. Fraud

IMPORTANT: PLEASE BE AWARE THAT GIFT CARD SCAMS AND FRAUD ARE ON THE RISE. For more information about common gift card scams and to learn to protect yourself and your Card against possible scams or fraud, please visit sephora.com/giftcardscams. LGCS and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse to honor a Card where LGCS suspects that the Card was obtained fraudulently. LGCS and its affiliates, including without limitation Sephora USA, Inc., are not responsible for unauthorized use of any Card, and LGCS and its affiliates will not replace or refund any Card that you purchased and gave to a person engaged in a fraud or scam.

11. Limitation of Warranties

LGCS AND ITS AFFILIATES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO CARDS INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Limitation of Liability

IN THE EVENT THAT A CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH CARD.

13. Agreement to Arbitrate Disputes

MANDATORY BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION. Please read this section carefully. It affects legal rights that you may otherwise have and requires individual final and binding arbitration of most disputes instead of resolution in court.

Arbitration is the submission of a dispute to a neutral arbitrator, instead of a judge or jury, for a final and binding decision, known as an “award.” Arbitration provides for more limited discovery than in court, is subject to limited review by courts, and the result is confidential. Each party has an opportunity to present evidence to the arbitrator in writing or through witnesses. An arbitrator can only award the same damages and relief that a court can award under the law and must honor the terms and conditions in this Agreement.

A. ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, CLASS AxCTION WAIVER, PUNITIVE DAMAGES WAIVER

You and LGCS agree that any dispute, whether at law or equity, arising out of or relating to this Agreement or your use of the Card, regardless of the date of accrual of such dispute, shall be resolved in its entirety by individual (not class-wide or collective) binding arbitration, except that you or LGCS may take claims to small claims court if they qualify for hearing by such a court.

You and LGCS agree that any arbitration under this Agreement will take place on an individual basis and that class, mass, consolidated or combined actions or arbitrations or proceedings as a private attorney general are not permitted.

You and LGCS agree that the arbitrator may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party’s individual claim.

This agreement to arbitrate extends to claims that you assert against other parties, including without limit claims against Sephora USA, Inc., and its affiliates and related entities.

The Agreement evidences a transaction in interstate commerce and the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this agreement to arbitrate.

This agreement to arbitrate shall survive termination of this Agreement. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, if any part of this agreement to arbitrate is deemed invalid or inapplicable, the remainder of the agreement to arbitrate shall still be considered valid and enforceable. You and LGCS both waive, to the fullest extent allowed by law, any claims to recover punitive or exemplary damages. If it is decided that applicable law precludes enforcement of any of this Section’s limitations as to a particular claim for relief, then that claim (and only that claim) shall be severed from the arbitration and may be brought in court.

Nothing herein shall be construed as consent by LGCS (or any of its affiliates) to the jurisdiction of any court with regard to claims unrelated to the use of your Card or this Agreement.

ARBITRATION PROCEDURES

Arbitration shall be conducted by JAMS in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures (the “JAMS Rules”). The JAMS Rules and instructions for how to initiate an arbitration are available from JAMS at jamsadr.com or 1-800-352-5267. To begin an arbitration proceeding, you must serve LGCS’s registered agent for service of process at Corporation Service Company, 2711 Centerville Road, Suite 400, Wilmington, Delaware 19808, United States. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the JAMS Rules, except that for claims of less than $1,000, you will be obligated to pay $25 and LGCS will pay all other administrative costs and fees. In addition, for claims of less than $1,000, LGCS will reimburse you for the $25 fee if the arbitrator rules in your favor. Reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses will be awarded only to the extent such allocation or award is available under applicable law.

Any arbitration will take place in or near the county where claimant resides and will be determined by a single arbitrator; provided, however, that upon request by either party, the arbitration shall be conducted via telephone to the extent permitted by the JAMS Rules. The arbitration may award on an individual basis the same damages and relief as a court (including injunctive relief). Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Choice of Law/Forum Selection

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, excluding its conflict of law rules.

15. Severability

The provisions of this Agreement are intended to be interpreted in a manner which makes them valid, legal, and enforceable. In the event any provision is found to be partially or wholly invalid, illegal or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified or restricted to the extent and in the manner necessary to render it valid, legal, and enforceable. It is expressly understood and agreed between the parties that such modification or restriction may be accomplished unilaterally by LGCS, or alternatively, by disposition of an arbitrator or a court of law. If such provisions cannot under any circumstances be so modified or restricted, they shall be excised from the Agreement without affecting the validity, legality, or enforceability of any of the remaining provisions.

If there is a discrepancy between the terms printed on Sephora Gift Cards or eGift Cards and the information provided above, the information provided above governs.
