Full disclosure, I began using this clarifying lotion within the past month, so I never used the 'Original Formula' to which other reviewers refer. ...Usually the low amount wouldn't do too much for my oily/acne skin, but now I'm using Differin and this is working as an AM toning solution. In terms of "exfoliation," this is not going to do what a toner with AHA will, which is give immediate smoothing.

The only thing that was a little off was that it has a much thinner consistency than a “lotion” so I used this more as my toning step!...This lotion was much lighter than a normal lotion. It did not leave a thick or oily residue on my face like some hydrating lotions do.
