I bought this as a sample, I personally have never tried an exfoliating shampoo prior to this one. I was very pleased with the texture of the shampoo, it’s as you would expect grainy with bits of charcoal. ...Did not expect this to be so awesome. I thought charcoal in a hair product? Good clarifying shampoo...I enjoyed the charcoal quality too! This was gifted by livingproof....I use clarifying shampoos at least once a week because I tend to use a lot of product in my hair, from gel to dry shampoo, and many shampoos on the market nowadays are not strong enough to cleanse the scalp well.

This is a great everyday shampoo, it isn't too drying.
